Forms neat clumps of blue-green needle-like foliage. Produces upright flower spikes which fade to straw colour which contrasts nicely with the foliage. An annual shear of the foliage in late winter prolongs the life and avoids dying off in the centre. Dislikes wet soils over winter so consider growing in a container if heavy soil is present.
